Launch of BODACC.io

Welcome to BODACC.io: our first publication. The project is simple: make the Official Bulletin of Civil and Commercial Announcements accessible to everyone, in real time, free of charge and simply. Here is why this project exists, the team building it, and where the idea came from.

BODACC is the official journal of legal announcements for French companies: creations, filing of accounts, collective proceedings. This information is public and free, but difficult for the general public to use. BODACC.io makes it accessible to everyone:

• ➡️Follow BODACC day by day, without jargon or paperwork

• ➡️Nansou: project manager: he orchestrates the project, decides on directions and ensures everything stays simple for users.
• ➡️Thom: ingestion specialist: he retrieves the official announcements every day and structures them for the database. He is the one who keeps the machine running.
• ➡️Elysa: enrichment specialist: she completes company profiles: website, phone, social media of directors. She only retrieves exposed public data: nothing is searched in forbidden places.
• ➡️Karan: international specialist: he makes BODACC.io shine beyond borders: translations, international visibility. He is the one who brings the project to the world.
• ➡️Ruby: supervision specialist: she ensures everything is functional at all times: she handles issues on and off the site, and ensures each service responds correctly.

BODACC.io is built with Hermes, an AI agent framework, and we are convinced by vibe coding: an approach where you describe what you want and the AI codes, iterates and deploys. For us, it is a skill accelerator: for those who know how to use it well and have solid pipelines, ideas and projects.

The site also relies on a solid technical foundation, designed for speed and reliability:

• ➡️PostgreSQL for the database (millions of announcements and companies)
• ➡️Docker for deployment, Cloudflare for speed and security
• ➡️A public API that responds in under 100 ms

Official announcements are published daily by DILA (Direction of Legal and Administrative Information). Our pipeline retrieves, structures and enriches them automatically:

• ➡️Daily retrieval of official announcements
• ➡️Data study: analysis, quality, completeness
• ➡️Structuring: company, directors, address, filing of accounts
• ➡️Enrichment: website, phone, social media of actors
• ➡️Creation of usable reports and statistics
• ➡️Publication on the site the same day

An interface designed for readability: each piece of data displays its source (DILA, INSEE, RNE or our enrichments) with a trust badge, and each company has its complete profile: directors, avatars, phone, website.

Where did the idea come from? The official government API is very complete, but complex to use, with clear limits. A user cannot directly exploit the full power of BODACC without technical skills. Result: this free data ends up "locked" in companies that, a few years ago, had the technical skills to exploit it. The problem? Most of these companies are only mirrors for publishing and accessing documents: none really offers data exploitation, nor its availability at the international level. It is this gap that BODACC.io fills.

The data comes from DILA BODACC: the official source of the Official Bulletin. On day 1, it is our only resource: the official announcements, as they are published each day. Our resources are publicly documented on the bodacc api GitHub repository, so everyone knows where the data comes from and how it is processed. Other sources will be added over time.
